Auditioning well takes a whole skill set unique to auditioning. Whether you are just starting out or working in the business for years, this class is dedicated to audition monologues and cold reading audition techniques.


Scene Study
Instructor: Nicholas Martin-Smith

This class is designed to build on the actor’s existing set of skills and take training to the next level. Actors pair up with each other and work on scenes of their choice. Over the course of 8 weeks, the actor is introduced to simple, effective tools and learns to apply these tools to their work, there by building on their technique.


'The Artist's Way'
with Susane Lee

This is your personal journey. Based on the classic book by Julia Cameron, this class is designed to discover and recover your creative self with proven tools to help unblock and prioritize creativity. Susane writes and directs plays for the classical theater company Hudson Warehouse, where she is the Assistant Artistic Director. She published her memoir in More Magazine.


Nicholas received his MFA from Brooklyn College and has worked as an actor and director for years. He founded Hudson Warehouse, a classical theater company, now in its 15th Season. He runs the Hudson Warehouse Shakespeare Workout teaching along side the Artists in Residents of the the company. Working with the Community Arts Programs of Goddard Riverside Nicholas works with different programs from After School to the Seniors Center and has taught acting for more then 20 years at such schools Brooklyn College, Mary Mount College and the American Musical and Dramatic Academy as well as privately. Susane Lee started her writing career in television, as a Writer and Producer of documentaries for PBS in Boston and NYC, and is a recipient of a PBS Communications Award. Recently a playwright, she has written and directed many plays for Hudson Warehouse, a classical theater company in its 14th year, where she is the Assistant Artistic Director. Susane is a recipient of a NYFA Fellowship for Nonfiction, the Urban Artist Fellowship for Fiction, and has published a memoir in More Magazine. Susane recently joined New York Writers Workshop. She is also a Lifetime Member of The Writers Guild of America, East.
